Banana Granola Gift Recipe
Sprinkled on top of yogurt, swimming in almond milk, doubling as trail mix after a long bike ride... how I love a good homemade granola loaded with nuts and fruit. Oh yeah, when poured into mason jars they make a yummy gift too! Keep reading for my favorite go to granola:
Banana Nut Granola
A yummy blend of fruits and nuts with a touch of honey, maple syrup and black strap molasses makes this granola extra toasted. Feel free to double for extra large batches as gifts.
Ingredients
- 2 Cups Oats
- 1 Tablespoon Black strap molasses
- 1/4 Cup Honey
- 2 Tablespoons Maple Syrup
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 1/4 Cup Coconut Oil
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1/2 Cup Almonds (whole)
- 1/4 Cup Almonds (slivered)
- 3/4 Cup Dried Banana chips
- 1/2 Cup Dried cranberries
- 1/2 Cup Dried cherries
- 1/4 Cup Walnuts
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 300 °F.Combine oats and nuts along with salt in a bowl. In another small bowl mix together coconut oil, maple syrup, honey, vanilla and molasses. Heat in the microwave for 15 to 20 seconds. Drizzle over oat and nut mixture, mixing well to coat.
Pour onto a pan lined with wax paper for a silicone mat. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes, stirring after 10 minutes to evenly brown. Remove from the over, add dried fruit and allow to cool and crisp before pouring into mason jars for gifts or an air tight container for breakfast cereal.
