DIY Lip Gloss

A few months ago I came across these tiny heart shaped tins collecting dust in the corner and thought how they could be pressed into service to hold lip glosses. Quite like the results!


What You Will Need:
- Little tins of some sort
- Coconut oil
- Any lipstick
- Vitamin E (optional)
- A little honey (optional)
- Essential oils such as rose, lemon or some of the DIY rose hip oil from here.

How To Do It:
Mix 1 part lipstick of your choice (a good way to use up ones that are nearly finished) to 2 parts coconut oil. Add one capsule of vitamin or a few drops of honey as a natural preservative. A few drops of essential oil and heat gently in a small container in a double boiler over the stove or in the microwave. Stir well with a wooden stick and pour into tins. When not in use store in the refrigerator.
