New York City Chocolate Show 2008

New York City Hot Pick

Yes folks it's that time of year! The New York City Chocolate show is coming to town. Time to indulge your cravings and chat up with big names in the industry. This year I'm going to sit this one out but I see some of my favorites are going to be exhibiting again so please stop by their table and say "hi" for me.

Boothe's to Hit:

COSMIC CHOCOLATE
1028 Sheppard Road
Walnut Creek, CA 94598
Booth TBD
Website : www.cosmicchocolate.com

Coming all the way from California and bringing the sunshine with them, the owners of Cosmic Chocolate have to be some of the most positive and passionate people I've met in a long, long time. It's pretty clear that they love chocolate and adore what they're doing which is putting out some rather unique truffles. I was really impressed with their airbrushed, rainbow colored Cosmic Bombs and the lovely presentation of their gift boxes.

PEANUT BUTTER & CO

240 Sullivan Street
New York, NY 10012
Booth C48
Website : www.ilovepeanutbutter.com
Peanut Butter & Co is one of the must hit places in the city! Their freshly produced, all-natural peanut butter is some of the best I've ever had, makes a great gift and makes an even better sandwich. Best of all most of their delights are very easy to make at home. Founder Lee Zalben is an incredibly sweet and nice guy so make this a must stop spot and pick up as many jars as you can carry.

GREEN & BLACK'S

389 Interpace Parkway
Parsippany , NJ 07054
Booth C66
Website: www.greenandblacks.com
For more on them see our past post here. A division of Cadbury Adams USA LLC, Green & Black's creates organic chocolates and also teams up with environmental efforts.

THE FASHION SHOW
This year the fashion show of chocolate frocks will have a superhero theme to them, something that was seen all over lasts years runways. Still their being made of chocolate makes up for that fluke so be sure to seek them out.

There are many others I would love to direct you to but sadly, many seemed to have bowed out this year--one of the reasons I'm going to do the same.

The New York Chocolate Show starts this November 6th and lasts through the 9th 2008 at Pier 94 (55th street) NYC. Visit chocolateshow.com for more information. NYC is just one stop on the tour which also stops in France, China, Japan and other major hot spots.
