Give Twice : Gucci and Cartier for UNICEF - Linda Loudermilk - more

Gucci for UNICEF Indy Bag
Who knew the Herbie looking Gucci bag with 100% of proceeds going to charity that we reported on earlier isn't the only special, limited edition charity bag Gucci has produced. It turns out they, with designer Frida Giannini, have also produced a special Gucci for UNICEF Indy bag (as pictured) with 25% of proceeds donated to African causes in Malawi and Mozambique. Sadly the page for said handbag is no longer working at Gucci's website but you can always call them. According to the UNICEF website the sale of these bags will benefit the charity until November of 2008. We wonder if this is related to the NYC Gucci event that Susie Bubble @ Style Bubble and other bloggers went to?

Cartier has also jumped on the band wagon along with Sarah Jessica Parker with a special blue LOVE bracelet for $475.00, $100.00 of which from each bracelet will be donated to various causes including UNICEF. For more information or to order you can call 1-800-CARTIER.

For more information on both the Gucci handbag and Cartier bracelet along with other designer items benefiting UNICEF visit the UNICEF designer partnerships website page. In these cases it can actually feel guilt free splurging.

Organic Chocolate That Donates Trees

Green & Blacks (not to be confused with my favorite, Black & Tan) Chocolate which is a division of Cadbury Adams USA LLC will be running an interesting contest where for each entry they will donate $10.00 to planting trees in chocolate producing locals. This is a recipe contest where you have to use 2 ounces of Green & Blacks Organic chocolate, take pictures of your creation and write an essay. We know, rather involved but the prize is:

Five winners and their guests will fly to New York City to enjoy a cooking session with Curtis Stone, host of TLC’s “Take Home Chef”. After a shopping adventure with Curtis at gourmet New York City markets in search of fresh, organic ingredients, the group will cook with Curtis and enjoy a delicious meal together. Winners also will receive tickets to the James Beard Foundation Awards, widely considered the Oscars of the food industry. How yummy! To enter visit: www.greenandblacks.com/curtis
